Stithians Bowling Club – A new era
Stithians Bowling Club (SBC) is embarking on an exciting development plan to improve its facilities to attract new players and members from all walks of life in 2026. We welcome interest from anyone who has ever thought about playing bowls or even just wish to join SBC as a social member.
We have a Come & Try day on Saturday 18th April from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. All you need to do is turn up wearing flat shoes and Bob’s your uncle. There will be fun games to try and a few fun prizes to be won. Refreshments will be available. If you don’t try you will never know the fun, fresh air and exercise you can get from this very sociable game. If you can’t make the date, contact us and we can arrange a free trial at a time and date to suit you.
So, what other exciting developments are being planned for 2026? Well, here are a few snippets to whet your appetite.
We have redesigned our logo and will be replacing our kit with a modern design and are seeking sponsors to help with the cost of this.
We are also seeking sponsors to support the club and have designed a high-profile Sponsor’s board which will have year-round visibility from the well used pathway around the playing field and of course by all players from towns and villages and supporters using SBC throughout the season. If you are a local business and want to help support SBC whilst raising your profile in the community and beyond, please feel free to get in touch with us for more details.
We are also seeking grants to improve the spectator experience with a new patio area and easy access to the green for players with impaired movement. We are trying to be as inclusive as we can and invite interest from anyone who wishes to get involved.
